Genes are the biological cell materials that define all living plants and animals. They tell the plants and animals what they are to become. Genes are the chemical instructors of all cells. On the globe earth 90% of all genes are the same for plants and animals. We are like each other genetically, more than we are different. Additionally, humans, apes, and monkeys share 99.9% of the same genes. All chromosomes and there genes are made up of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Genes are segments of DNA and look much like a long twisted ladder in form. Each side of the of the ladders is made up of alternating deoxyribose sugar and phosphate molecules. The cross steps are composed of the four bases, adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine(G), and cytosine (C). Genes reside in the chromosomes and mitochondrion of each cell. Human Genetic scientific history starts with DNA having been first identified in 1880’s as germ plasma. In the first part of the 1900’s geneticists such as Walter S. Sutton, Theodore Boveri, Thomas H. Morgan, George W. Beadle, Ed L. Tatum and Oswald Avery developed the field to the point where it was well understood that genes located in the chromosomes were composed of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). It remained for the now famous, H.C. Crick and James D. Watson to determine that the chemicals of the genes were laid out in a geometric double-helix strand, that appeared as long twisted microscopic ribbons. In the 1960’s the genetic code of DNA was figured out by Francois Jacob Jacques Monod. In the 70’s gene manufacturing was undertaken, followed later by animal cloning and the human genome study.
Human Genome Study is now being conducted around the world to identify and map all of the human genes and their functions. It is expected to be completed within the next two years. Known now are such facts that genes in chromosome 6 cause schizophrenia and in chromosome 17, SLC6A4 is the site for anxiety related personality traits. With these types of scientific facts coming out of the labs by the hour, it is now time to determine the specific relationships of genes to overt human behavior patterns. It can be clearly seen that certain behaviors are specific to certain genes. These behaviors and gene pools thereof, need to be scientifically analyzed and openly cataloged for behavioral research. Caingenes, is term coined and Trademarked by Ronald P. Barrett, author of the novel GLOBE MASTER GODS. The women of the story claim that males are driven by “Cain genes”. Genes handed down from the biblical character Cain. It was Cain, according to the Old Testament who murdered his brother Able, thus committing the first murder on the earth. From the Human Genome study we should be able to determine where, in the male’s genes, are the sites for violence and domination. One need only to make the most superficial of observations of male behavior to see these genes at work. War. Boxing. Hunting. Rape. The Abrahemic religions of domination of females. Caingene Observations, descendents of Cain, males of the US commit over 20,000 like murders annually, are international terrorists, murder school mates, torture and kill those they deem they just do not like. Columbine! Waco! All act of violence and domination. On a governmental scale, males propose nuclear bombardment of their enemies, actually do drop anti-personnel bombs and mines on their claimed foes and head up the largest industrial complexes destroying the very planet, all of living plants and animals depend-on for their very existence. Mass male acts of violence and domination. Certainly not acts of wise reasoning. And definitely not acts carried out by most females. It appears infact that females are often the recipients of male violence and domination.
Caingenes-vs-Nurture, sociologists would argue with some truth that male behavior is more determined by nurture or environmental factors. No doubt one’s social environment does determine many behaviors. We now need to be determined to what over-all extent male genes determine the mental responses males come to, irrespective of environment, so that a male-behavioral violence and domination mitigation effort, world-wide, can be conducted. This is not to say that female humans do not have domination and violence behaviors. They do, but in much smaller numbers than the human males. Leading to an open question for noted anthropologists and sociologists: why do females put up with so much male violence?
GLOBE MASTER GODS’ author, Ron Barrett at believes that unless we determine the extent of the genetic driven behavior of males, we will not be able to modify the violent and dominant behavior expressed by most males. We will be subjected to more Columbines! The human male needs his genes modified so he will seek a peaceful resolution to conflicts rather than conflict in and of itself. As it is, right now, the male human seeks a continued degree of aggravation and agitation. He simply will not rest in peace and leave the world alone. He will violate and destroy it, even it means the end of himself. One need only to study the tobacco industry to see this at work on a grand international scale. How else could one explain business men who knowingly sell a product to another human that gives them cancer and heart disease and the lawyers that work to them? Next question: is there a gene for evil? |
